US Sales Manager - Remote

Ag 1 Source is working with one of their outstanding clients in the precision industry to add a Sales Manager to their team. This organization is seeking a candidate with the ability to manage and continue to build their sales team and their business within current key accounts as well as developing relationships with new industry partners. This is a globally recognized precision ag solutions provider, with business partnerships with crop inputs suppliers, input manufacturers, distributors, and retailers throughout the US.

This role will be managing their current team of 4 salesmen across the US, but a primary focus is in the South, North East, Midwest and High Plains. You are free to live within this region and travel to the team and their territories as needed.

What you will be doing:

  • Helping your sales team grow the company’s presence through embedding yourself into your client's business to find more solutions to their pains.
  • Deliver consultative and value-based selling focused on precision products as an integral part of a customer’s agronomy strategy.
  • Lead, motivate and help train your sales team.
  • Grow relationships with their key customers today.
  • Educate existing customers on product and platform positioning.
  • Build and develop sales plans, strategies, and tactics.
  • Provide feedback about the company's products, competitor’s products, and competitive landscape to appropriate internal personnel for strategic planning purposes.

A successful candidate for the Sales Manager will possess the following:

  • Solid Sales experience in a role that focuses on selling to Ag Retailers / Distributors / Crop Consultants.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred, but someone who has the skills and desires to take the next step in their career will certainly be considered.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US and into Canada as needed, but Canada is not the focus of this role.
  • Success in increasing sales within an organization, being their trusted partner to bring new solutions.
  • Proven ability to work with retail ag and crop inputs organizations throughout the region.
  • Self-starter and team builder.
  • A passion for using technology to enhance a company's value proposition and improve their customer's success.

Compensation: This is a highly regarded organization, with significant potential for personal growth and career advancement beyond this great opportunity. Targeted base will depend on experience and will also have a sales incentive plan. We are targeting up to 120K base with further incentives.

Desired Location: The ideal location for this will be somewhere central to the defined geography. The further to one end, the more you would have to travel by air. The bulk of their business today is East of the Rockies, but a central Midwest to eastern Cornbelt location would be preferred.
