This role will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with customers, with a focus on enhancing their overall experience.
  • Advising product management on new products and services that benefit growers, and mentoring the sales team in their introduction.
  • Managing a book of business within a designated territory, ensuring business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Conducting sales calls with current and prospective customers, while maintaining a customer data management base.
  • Consulting with growers in the field on product quality, standards, and necessary applications.

Expectations will include:

  • Achieving and maintaining 5000 acres and 10% growth (500 acres) in 2 out of the last 3 years.
  • Demonstrating strong agronomic skills and staying current with industry best practices.
  • Interpreting soil tests, nutrient maps, and building fertility and pesticide recommendations.
  • Identifying weeds, insects, and plant diseases, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Presenting products, services, and added value to customers effectively.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • 3+ years of related experience in agronomy or a similar field.
  • A Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
  • A valid motor license.
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification or the willingness to work towards it.
