Poultry Nutrition Sales Specialist

Our client is seeking a dynamic, self-starting, well respected livestock feed sales industry professional with a Poultry focus, to represent them in an established regional territory and develop new customers within the Midwest. This is a "backfill" of a promotion within the company, and a great opportunity that will be challenging and rewarding, as we build relationships, expand business and continue to build a strong presence in the region. Candidate MUST have solid poultry industry background, proven top 10% sales performance in previous career positions, ability to travel as needed, and a MS degree in Poultry Nutrition is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build sales relationships with current customer base of producer’s for both meat bird, and pullet-layer flocks through daily farm visits and sales calls
  • Assist producers in obtaining optimal flock performance and diagnose issues related to poultry production
  • Maintain high level of bio-security protocols within customer visits
  • Communicate any issues to our nutrition team and business managers
  • Frequent interaction with employees of customers and from all parts of our organization
  • Other duties related to selling and servicing poultry flock customers as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MS Degree in Poultry Nutrition preferred
  • Desire to work with Poultry producer-customers on a daily basis
  • Excited about "Selling" and providing high level of tech sales support
  • Works well in a close team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • High sense of urgency when completing tasks
  • Ability to manage customer and producer relationships
  • Quick learner, strong desire to succeed and self-motivated
  • Works well with minimal supervision once learning curve has been achieved.
  • Ability to learn IT systems in order to understand-manage flock data and performance (CRM, performance tracking tools, Word, Excel, etc.)
