Plant Production Manager - Nebraska

The Plant Production Manager directs all dehydration and plant operations. The manager supervises full and part time employees to accomplish these responsibilities and leads a team in increasing efficiency while maintaining OSHA and FSMA compliance. The production manager will be responsible for operating the plant as necessary.

What you will be doing:

• Efficiently coordinate production practices with operations crew and communicate effectively with management.
• Quality control data and share with management.
• Train employees in the operation of the operating systems.
• Work with the GM on scheduling daily production and manage employee shifts and hours of operation in order to produce products efficiently and cost effectively.
• Lead the team at the location; support their growth and development.
• Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain equipment and facilities regularly; follow housekeeping standards keeping facilities neat and clean.
• Schedule maintenance for the mill and assist in doing the maintenance when needed.
• Keeps accurate records on mill production and delivery.
• Maintains good quality control program by accurate sampling procedures.

A successful candidate for this Plant Production Manager will possess the following:

• Feed mill supervisory experience preferred but not required
• High level of detail, multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with intuition to create solution
• Positive, self-motivated individual with organization, communication, and negotiation skills
• Communication skills – listening, providing feedback both verbally and in writing
• Teamwork skills – build a positive work environment
• Leadership skills – demonstrate passion for the job and build a vision for the future
• Strong customer service commitment
• Experience in commercial ag or milling environment preferred
• OSHA, heavy equipment and plant operations training

Compensation: The salary range for this role will depend on experience but should start in the $75-85K range for a qualified candidate
