Part-Time Formulations Chemist

Ag 1 Source is seeking someone with formulation and development experience specifically in the ag industry to serve as a key team member in their growing formulations business. This is a well-established and stable company who is expanding out their product portfolio and needs a part time formulations chemist to join them in their new facility. There is the possibility of it becoming a full-time role if that is something that this individual wanted to pursue, but to start we are focusing on a part time individual.

You will have responsibility and input in a variety of areas of focus with a strong emphasis on liquid fertilizer technology and other innovative technologies. This role will work to develop new products, improve existing products and evaluate upcoming technologies. You will also assist QA/QC Chemists in developing testing methodologies and protocols, collaborate with other chemists and be a resource to the sales side of the organization and other departments within the company.

What you will be doing:

• Focusing on the formulations of liquid fertilizer and other products
• Physical testing of the products and compounds
• Collaborate with the team of chemists and the sales department to know what new products should be developed
• Analyze existing products to determine if there is a way to make them better

A successful candidate for this Formulations Chemist will possess the following:

• PhD preferred, but experience of 10+ years in formulations will be considered
• Lab experience required
• Strong communication skills
• strong self-starter
• ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and well organized
• Experience presenting your findings
• Specific formulations experience in the Ag Industry

Compensation: We can be very flexible on compensation based on experience, hours you desire to work, etc.
