This role will be responsible for:

• Driving profitability by trading assigned commodities within your territory.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Managing logistics to ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation of commodities.
• Analyzing market factors to understand and anticipate price movements.
• Supervising support staff to guarantee the seamless execution of all contracts.

Expectations will include:

• Leading and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.
• Operating within established policies, procedures, and position limits, and accurately reporting trading activities.
• Maintaining a deep understanding of trading rules, regulations, and market dynamics.
• Communicating critical market information to peers and management to inform strategies.
• Upholding the organization’s reputation through ethical and transparent dealings with stakeholders.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of commodity trading experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of commodity markets, including futures and cash markets.
• Knowledge of grain flows, freight markets, and market opportunities.
• Proven ability to cultivate and manage professional relationships effectively.
• A positive attitude and motivation to inspire staff and customers alike.

Compensation: $70,000+ Depending on experience
