Manufacturing Planner

The Manufacturing Planner assists and plans in the areas of production, planning, expediting, scheduling and work order distribution.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning: developing and managing the work orders and goals for production, planning and expediting.
  • Materials: managing specific production functions including master scheduling, planning, and work order distribution; working closely with manufacturing and engineering departments; and maintaining the bills-of-materials and routing.
  • Production: maintaining valid production schedules; expediting production processes in support of the company’ s goals and mission; and advising departments in order to most efficiently reach production goals.

Requirements for Position:

Candidate must have an Associate degree or a minimum of 3 years work experience in production and/or materials management. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, able to understand and speak English, follow verbal and written instructions, and write short correspondence. Must have good interpersonal skills, communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers, and be able to work both independently and as a team player. Must exhibit strong organizational skills and able to multitask, work within project deadlines, show attention to detail, good judgment and integrity. Must have strong computer skills with a proficiency in MRP systems, Microsoft Windows/Office, and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Skills / Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of previous work experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler. ERP Software experience with Global Shop preferred.
