Human Resource Generalist

The HR Business Partner formulates partnerships across the human resources function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This position is responsible for providing human resources expertise in employee relations, anti-harassment, coaching/development, conflict management, organizational development, training, etc.; supporting the execution of business strategies utilizing HR processes and tools; serving as the primary contact for management on consultative HR support, including strategic workforce assessment, leadership and employee development strategies and programs, and performance management counseling and problem-solving.

We are looking for a Human Resource Specialist with 5-15 years of experience, we are looking for someone that can grow with the company.

Ideally we need someone with:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 10+ years experience as an HR Generalist
  • PHR/SPHR Certification preferred

HR Initiatives:

  • Analyze trends and metrics; coordinate with HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies needed to support established goals and processes.
  • Gather employee paperwork; ensure all necessary paperwork/materials are sent to corporate for processing and placement in employee files.
  • Assist corporate with on-site administrative needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams communicating and strategizing on business priorities, upcoming changes and challenges in the business unit.
  • Understand the dynamics of the business and functions; drive human resource practices and processes that will create an effective, high-performing organization.

  • Intermediate knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced knowledge of EEOC, state and federal employment laws
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Knowledge of benefits including Worker’s Compensation, Disability and Leave of Absence laws
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental laws
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
