Feedyard Cattle Clerk

Ag 1 Source is looking for a Feedyard Cattle Clerk for our client in the Panhandle region of Texas.

What you will be doing:

• Organize office operations and procedures such as accounting, payroll, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies and company assets, and other clerical services
• Manage, lead, and develop all office employees
• Interviews and train new employees through training, then plans, assigns, directs work
• Directs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Serve as focal point for office computer ordering
• Answer and forward incoming telephone calls
• Oversee office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications
• Formulate and/or maintain procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records
• Assists Feed Yard Manager and Department Managers in developing annual budgets
• Lead and develop office staff
• Communicate with customers and outside vendors
• Provide needed support to management team
• Evaluate personnel for job performance as well as rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Assist in weighing incoming and outgoing trucks carrying commodities either through the CMS system or manually during peak seasons

A successful candidate for this Feedyard Cattle Clerk job will possess the following:

• College degree, or 5 years industry experience and a complete knowledge of the cattle feeding industry
• Previous supervisory experience is necessary, as you will be managing up to 4 people
