This role will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing grain elevator operations to ensure safety, productivity, and profitability.
  • Managing logistics, including truck, rail, and barge transportation.
  • Originating grain and fostering strong customer relationships along the value chain.
  • Supervising operational, training, and safety programs to engage employees and promote best practices.
  • Maintaining grain quality and monitoring inventory for blending opportunities.
  • Ensuring facility compliance with regulatory standards and organizational safety protocols.

Expectations will include:

  • Building and maintaining effective customer service relationships.
  • Managing operational expenses and achieving budgetary goals.
  • Ensuring accurate execution of accounting and business control activities, such as contracts and customer reports.
  • Supervising housekeeping and facility maintenance to uphold standards.
  • Facilitating clear communication across teams and with customers to address service needs.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in grain elevator operations.
  • Knowledge of hedging, grain contracting, and NGFA rules (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A proactive and safety-first approach to operations management.

Compensation: Varies depending on experience; 100 - 140K base

Benefits: Full benefits + bonus eligibility
