Director of Services

Ag 1 Source is looking for a director of services for a well recognized industry leader in irrigation equipment to lead commercial relationships in the USA with key service customers and interface with pre-project and project execution teams to develop detailed client proposals, and provide oversight of service operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced irrigation sales leader to engage and professionally interact with large clients in agriculture, greenhouse, wastewater and other market segments.

What you will be doing:

• Build and maintain the most important client accounts for the services division
• Lead point of contact for all key client matters and work with the company to match client needs to company capabilities
• Interface with our project management team to create initial proposals for clients that resolve those problems in a manner that is consistent with client needs, and current industry channel structure
• Work with corporate leadership to update the services policy and business strategy, including services to be offered, pricing, profitability, and mechanism to interface with our commercial teams in order to leverage existing relationships
• Manage the field service execution team to ensure high quality delivery of services
• Identify and develop a formal offering of services to each targeted market segment

A successful candidate for this Director of Services role will possess the following:

• Understanding of the selling, marketing, and financial aspects of managing a business at the national and global levels
• Ability to understand the design, installation, and maintenance of an irrigation system and the benefits to a prospective customer in a consultative manner
• Demonstrated experience in project management to ensure timeliness and quality of system installation through working with our dealers, designers and any other external suppliers needed to successfully execute service agreements, including adherence to all safety standards
• Demonstrated team leadership and management experience or remote employees
• Ability to achieve results while working with diverse personality types and styles, both internal and external
• Irrigation industry manufacturing, production, design, installation or operation experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, plant science, soil science or related field
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, sound judgment, and incorporate company goals into personal goals
• Strong attention to detail quality orientation, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel 50% time primarily in the USA and Canada

Compensation: This company offers a competitive salary depending upon experience but is targeting a base range of $125,000 - $174,000
