Dedicated Calf and Heifer DVM
Ag 1 Source is looking for a Dedicated Calf and Heifer DVM to become part of a leading organization and team in the heart of Great Lakes Dairy region. This person will have key responsibilities within several platforms, including large scale calf and heifer grow operations, traditions dairy segments, and non-traditional industry clients as well as consulting. This is NOT for a rookie, as we need someone with at least 5 years of "real world" diary calf platform DVM experience, background, with dedicated passion for the cattle industry!

What you will be doing:
- Comprehensive calf, heifer and grower lot (some dairy cow herd) healthcare services
- Health, well-being, and overall cattle evaluations/recommendations and regular onsite evaluations with operational health plans
- Routine medical, vaccination programs, diagnostics, treatment outlines, surgical procedures as needed with core client base
- Producer relations, collaboration, and compliance with animal welfare standards
- Accurate and complete medical records of individual treatments and overall herd health programs
- Work with other DVM's, Vet Tech's and support staff within this large client group to ensure prompt and industry leading veterinary services
A successful candidate for this DVM role will possess the following:
- MUST have DVM degree from accredited and recognized veterinary school
- MUST have licensure to practice veterinary medicine in USA and relevant jurisdictions (Ohio/Indiana/Michigan/Illinois/Kentucky/Pennsylvania/etc.) in the region
- MUST have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Federal accreditation with USDA/APHIS
- Dairy and/or Beef industry passion, dedication and uncompromising care for livestock
- Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills and ability to communicate with cattle producers, industry professionals, government officials and co-workers
Compensation: Base salary on previous experience, variable bonus opportunities, and potential associate equity plan after proven dedication to the organization

Desired Location: West Central Ohio or East Central Indiana region
