Chief Financial Officer- Kansas

We are searching for a CFO with agriculture retail experience for a great opportunity in Central Kansas. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this position will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the financial health and success of the organization, while advancing their career in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will be responsible for:

• Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the budgeting process, monitoring financial performance, and providing accurate forecasting to support decision-making.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to stakeholders/ members and CEO.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing internal controls.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, to align financial initiatives with operational objectives.
• Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards, coordinating audit activities and implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Barrowing base reporting, coordinate with the CEO monthly with reporting, on working capital (assets and liabilities) and money flow.
• Oversee accounts payable: landing and making sure invoices are approved and paid.
• Billing: oversee billing processes and team.
• Work with all 3rd party financing vendors.

A successful candidate for this CFO position will possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred, but not necessary with experience.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in financial leadership roles within the agriculture industry, preferably in an ag retail setting.
• Strong understanding of agriculture finance.
• Proven track record of strategic financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders/members and CEO.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

Compensation: Compensation will be based on skills and experience and will be a combination of base and bonus and will range from $120 to $150K.
