Cattle Manager

Ag 1 Source is looking for a Cattle Manager. Industry leading cattle feeding organization is looking for an experienced Cattle Manager. • Identifying the health risk associated with incoming groups of cattle and communicating with the veterinarians, management, and the rest of the team to ensure proper treatment

• Modeling safe work practices and following safety rules and policies

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and supervising 8-10 employees including Receivers, Doctors, Penriders and Processors
• Setting the overall direction, for the team in cooperation with management
• Identifying the health risk associated with incoming groups of cattle and communicating with the veterinarians, management, and the rest of the team to ensure proper treatment
• Ensuring that livestock are handled and cared for according to industry best practices and established guidelines
• Developing the department's budget and managing expenses
• Modeling safe work practices and following safety rules and policies

A successful candidate for this Cattle Manager position will possess the following:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school, or one year related experience and/or training is preferred but not required

Compensation: Target $75K
