Our client is seeking and Agronomy Salesman just south of Indianapolis, to become an integral part of the team with a growing Agronomy business. This role is seeking someone who is passionate about working directly with farmers, consulting with them to find the best options for their operation. We need someone who not only can provide excellent customer service, but who has the desire to really go out and target producers to increase their market share.
As an Agronomy Salesman, you will be at the forefront of our mission to support farmers with the best crop nutrients, crop protection products, and agronomic services. Your expertise will help our clients maximize their crop yields and improve their farming operations.

What you will be doing:
- Drive Sales and Growth: Generate and boost sales of our crop nutrients and protection products through strategic customer engagement.
- Build Lasting Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses, becoming their trusted advisor.
- Deliver Expert Recommendations: Provide tailored agronomic advice based on thorough analysis of soil samples and other key data.
- Demonstrate Product Value: Showcase the superior value of our products and services through effective demonstrations and training sessions.
A successful candidate for this Agronomy Sales role will possess the following:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field; or equivalent experience (5+ years) and training.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of agronomy products and their applications, coupled with proven sales experience in the agriculture industry.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with clients and colleagues.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to analyze agronomic data and proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license is required. Preferred but not mandatory: Commercial driver's license with endorsements, Commercial pesticide applicator license 1A, and CCA certificate.
Compensation: Will very much depend on experience, but can be flexible based on what a candidate brings to this role, $60-$90K base is not unheard of with additional bonuses/incentives.
