Agronomy Manager - Kansas

Ag 1 Source is looking for an Agronomy Manager candidate to manage the agronomy department for a multi-location ag retailer in south central Kansas.

What you will be doing:

• Working with manufactures reps on programs and rebates to get the best price for chemical, fertilizer and seed.
• Put together an affordable yet effective product line for customers that maximizes profit for the retailer as well as the producer.
• Working with multiple locations that all have full-service agronomy facilities.
• Keep a close eye on inventory of chemical, seed and fertilizer.
• All purchasing for the agronomy department.
• Work with P&L statements and budgeting with other managers.

A successful candidate for this Agronomy Manager role will possess the following:

• Strong agronomic skills including sales and an understanding of what is going on in the field.
• Customer service is a big part of this role, so getting to know the customers will be a large part of this role.
• Focus on managing the agronomy team and directing them with daily plans and long-term growth plans.
• Understanding of P&L's.
• Good with working with vendors and putting together programs.

Compensation: The salary for a qualified candidate will be in a range from $80K-$100K depending on the experience of the candidate.
