Ag Retail Sales/Manager in Training - NC
Ag 1 Source has a unique opportunity for a agronomy sales or operations geared individual to learn on the job and be apart of a succession plan for a valuable location to one of our regional clients. This gives you an opportunity to step up into a stable, solid team for an established ag business that is just preparing for an upcoming retirement. This isn't a job for a recent grad. This is for someone with 4+ years of either sales experience and wants to move into management or someone who is already has a passion for the management and operations and wants an opportunity to advance their career. Someone coming from managing any ag type business would be considered, but those with a background more focused in agronomy would be preferred. An understanding of production agriculture and working with farmers is also a plus.

What you will be doing:
- Working closely with the current manager for the next couple of years to learn all the ins and outs of the business.
- Managing the day-to-day schedules of 8-10 employees.
- Overseeing the budget of the location and working to continue to be profitable.
- Providing excellent customer service to the customer base.
- Possibly selling some yourself if that's something you are interested in doing.
- Inventory management.
- Vendor management.
- Safety protocol management.
A Successful candidate for this opportunity position will possess the following:
- Prior business and/or operations management experience.
- Knowledge of the crops grown in this region.
- Drive and ambition to go out and make things happen, self-motivated.
- A bachelor's degree or experience, preferably with 5+ years of management experience.
- Solid agriculture background and experience servicing farmers.
Compensation: The employer is targeting a base of $55K-$75K with a very nice profit bonus, base will depend on prior experience.
Benefits: This position provides a vehicle allowance, gas card, phone, computer, insurance and other benefits.
Desired Location: This role is located in the very South East corner North Carolina and one will have to live in that area. More details to be disclosed upon discussion.
